The 50/50 System Release
The 50/50 System
A Supplemental RPG System by Nathan Mehlhorn
Overview
The 50/50 System is a coin-based, system neutral supplement that can be utilized in any tabletop role-playing game. This is not meant to be a standalone item but could work in a pinch or, at best, a one-shot if you wanted to use this for a full game of something.
What's in the Box?
Included are two PDF files, one colored and one black and white with two pages each. This contains the entire system, rules, and examples of how to utilize it properly. Since the system is not very complicated it really didn't need more room that that, it largely fits on one page but I added another for examples in case anything was unclear.
What You'll Need
To use this system you will need one coin of any type, so long as you can indicate a "Heads" and a "Tails" side. Beyond that, you need the included document and a game system of your choice to pair this with. You may also want some other people, but you can use this for solo gaming just fine.
What's this Cost (Spoilers, it's FREE)?
I made this after having a dream where I was teaching young children how to play role-playing games. In it I used the outlined system and when I woke up the idea still seemed good enough with enough tweaking. As a result though, this is by no means a robust system so I am giving it away for free. That said, if you like the idea or just want to support my weird brain, a very small donation is requested but don't at all feel obligated to that end.
Additionally, you are free to build upon the rules outlined here and make your own product under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). This does include commercial products so go for it folks!
